In 1833, Antoine LeCoultre founded his watch making company in Le Sentier. The founder worked day and night for the uplift of his company and in 1844 the company produced the first instrument which had the capability to measure a micron and it was called “The Millionometer”.
The company’s inventions carried on and in 1847 produced the first movement with a crown winding system so that keys were no longer required for winding watches. In 1925, the company produced another movement by the name of “Duoplan” which had extraordinary precision. In, 1956 another new invention was made this time it was the world’s first automatic alarm wrist watch. The company then launched one if its most famous model “Reverso” in 1991.
The Master Control 1000, one the most reliable model underwent 1000 hours of testing before getting certification. In 1998 the company introduced another model of reverso, Reverso Gran’Sport which is a unique combination of arts and science. In the year 1999 the company came up with another model “The Atom du Millonaire” it had the feature of showing year, month and moon phases over a period of 1000 years.
